RENEWAL SUNDAY IS COMING: Gather with us on the morning of Sunday, September 9, as we launch a new year of faith formation for all ages. Worship and Blessing of the Backpacks at 8:30 am & 11 am. Participate in ECLC’s Sunday School & Youth Open House, with an all-ages scavenger hunt, and faith formation stations led by our Council of Ministers throughout the building, between services.
FALL 2018 ADULT FAITH FORMATION: Forums will resume on Sunday, September 16th from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Stay tuned for more information, but know that plans are underway for the following (and more!): a 3-part series of Racial Justice, a 2-part series on Immigration, and guest speakers Dr. Tim Lensmire from the University of Minnesota and Dr. Jennifer Kwon Dobbs, director of St. Olaf's Race and Ethnic Studies. WHAT’S NEXT TO END HOMELESSNESS? Join ECLC and all Beacon Collaborative congregations for an all-Beacon convening on Thursday, September 13th from 7:00-8:30pm hosted by Colonial Church in Edina.
LIKE TO HIKE? Join other ECLCers who enjoy hiking and walking for brunch, conversation, and a walk through Wood Lake Nature Center on Saturday, September 15th at 9:30am for a light potluck brunch, followed by the walk. Share your favorite walking spots, tips for hiking in winter, and local walking groups while getting to know other ECLCers.
REDUCE THE STIGMA—JOIN ECLC AT THE NAMI WALK: Join the largest mental health awareness walk in MN on Saturday, September 22nd at 1pm at Minnehaha Falls. Join the ECLC team and thousands of other walkers as we raise awareness and funds for ECLC’s mission partner, MN’s office of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and its education, support group, and public policy work.
