SUNDAY FORUM- A 3-part series on Mental Health starts this Sunday, Feb. 24, with a presentation from ministry partner Lutheran Social Services. Amanda Luedtke will highlight ways that we can support those with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse needs. We will discuss self-care, ways to educate ourselves, and how we can encourage empowerment and growth in those struggling. For a full description of upcoming forums, click here. All forums are held between services (9:45-10:45 a.m.) on Sunday mornings. All high schoolers and adults are welcome to join these important conversations.

CHOIR APPETIZER: Join us on Wednesday, 2/27 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. for ONE bite-sized rehearsal for TENOR/BASSES (w/Cindi Q) and SOPRANOS/ALTOS (w/Melissa B) where we will practice separately, then sing for each other that evening and again for church on Sunday 3/3 (T/Bs) and Ash Wednesday 3/6 (S/As). CHOIR FEAST: Wednesdays following midweek Lenten vespers (7:45ish-8:30ish) our CHOIR will resume (all voices welcome!) to prepare our musical banquet for church on Sunday, 3/24 and Maundy Thursday, 4/18 and Easter 4/21!

MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCACY DAY: Join our mission partners at NAMI for Mental Health Day on the Hill, Thursday, March 14th. The event begins at 9:30 am with training followed by a rally at 11 and meetings with state legislators. Contact ECLC’s Mission Partner Liaisons, Sue & Tom T. with questions.

LIRS PROVIDES FOSTER CARE FOR IMMIGRANT FAMILIES: Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, our mission partner, provided foster care to 1,643 children and facilitated the safe reunification with member members to 34,358 more, including families seeking asylum who were separated at the border. LIRS Board Chair Michael Rinehart said: "We are called to welcome our neighbors in this great time of need. Demonizing immigrants as criminals is unconscionable." To learn more, go to
