SUNDAY FORUM: On February 7, join our returning guest, Dr. Arnoldo Curiel, Vice President for Racial Justice and Public Policy at the YWCA, for a forum on race, oppression, and how we can actively engage in racial justice.

EL SALVADOR MISSION OF HEALING AND WELLNESS - The Mission of Healing and Wellness is a one-week (Feb 13-20) clinic in San Salvador that provides holistic care and education for about 1000 people in need, including members of ECLC’s partner congregation, Cristo de Paz. Coordinated by the Milwaukee Area Synod, the 20-member team includes physicians, nurses, translators, and general volunteers. In 2014, members of ECLC made contributions that provided post-Mission care, such as medications, medical equipment, and eye glasses. 2016 contributions may be given this Sunday after each service. WIT: WOMEN IN TRANSITION— all women welcome! WIT will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, in Robbyn Shiell's home. Jane Lepisto will lead the discussion of Nancy Kraft's book “Threads”.

CIVIL RIGHTS SPEAKER: All are invited to hear Rev. Joseph Ellwanger, an ELCA pastor on Thursday, Feb. 11th, 4:00 pm at ECLC.  Ellwanger was a civil rights leader in Birmingham and Selma Alabama during the 60's.  He will share his perspective on the Movement as well as discuss the importance of social justice work today.   He will have copies of his book, "Strength for the Struggle" available to purchase.
