3RD GRADE FAITH MILESTONE: WORDS THAT STICK! This Sunday, Jan 17, ECLC will present 3rd graders with new Bibles and a honey sweet blessing, during 8:15 am & 11 am worship. Also, from 9:45-10:45 am 3rd graders, together with their parents will explore hands-on ways to participate in the stories of our faith, appealing to both the intellect and the imagination. Everyone will go home with fun & practical tools for opening up their Bibles!

Learn about white privilege, why colorblindness is detrimental, and ask your own questions as we seek to grow in cultural competency as individuals and a congregation.

On Sunday, January 17, join Redeemer Lutheran for worship at 10:00am, followed by a community luncheon and arts presentation. Or, on Monday, January 18, hear amazing speakers and dialogue on racial justice at Luther Seminary. 

UNITED WAY FORUM ON RACE & EQUITY:  Join ECLC on Wednesday, January 27th from 8:00-11:30am at the Hilton in downtown Mpls for Cultivating Conditions for Change: A Forum on Race & Equity hosted by the United Way.  Hear respected leaders, Angela Glover Blackwell and Michael McAfee from Policylink on the inequities in education, employment and health in Minnesota.    $35 drops to $20 if 5 or more ECLCers sign up by this Thursday, January 14th.  Read more here and email Lauren at lmorsewendt@eclc.org to RSVP and join her.

HEALTH KIT AND QUILTTHANK YOU!  Thank you for everyone who participated in creating and blessing 80 health kits, which were delivered to Lutheran World Relief today.  A special thank you to our tireless quilters who faithfully created 51 quilts this year, ½ of which were delivered to Lutheran World Relief and ½ of which will be shared with refugee families arriving in Minnesota.
