SUNDAY FORUM: What does it mean to center community and equity from the start of a group interaction? This interactive presentation, led by ECLCer Stephanie Rollag Yoon, will focus on a group introduction exercise. We will explore resources and ideas that move us toward practicing equity, access, and justice as we become beloved community together. Join us at 9:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary this Sunday, January 6.

IMMIGRATION COURT VIGIL: Stand in solidarity with immigrants stuck in our broken immigration system. On Tuesday, January 8 from 7:30-8:30am at the Whipple Building Immigration Court at Fort Snelling, ECLC’s Immigration Task Force will be there and hope to see many ECLCers attend, wear your ECLC t-shirt! GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION RALLY: Kick off the legislative session at the Capitol with our mission partners, Protect Minnesota, on Tuesday, January 8th for a 1pm rally and deliver petitions and postcards around the capitol after the rally. No RSVP needed, just show up in the rotunda wearing orange at 1pm! Can’t make it? Save the Date for an even bigger Protect MN legislative event on Thursday, February 14th. CHILDREN, BRING YOUR BAPTISM QUILTS! On Sunday, January 13, we remember and celebrate baptism in worship. Children, bring the quilts created by ECLC’s quilters that you received at your baptisms for a special celebration.

RACE & HOUSING EXHIBIT TOUR: Join ECLC as we visit and discussion Hennepin History Museum’s eye-opening exhibit Owning Up: Racism & Housing in Minneapolis on Tuesday, January 15 at 10am, following by lunch & discussion in the neighborhood (Mpls, near the MIA). COURT WATCH IN IMMIGRATION COURT: ECLC volunteers are needed to sit in Immigration Court at the Whipple Building (Fort Snelling) with trained volunteer, ECLCer Carol B., on Tuesday, January 29 in the morning.
