THANK YOU, ECLC, FOR 25 YEARS!
Camp Knutson launched its ground-breaking program for children living with severe skin disorders in 1993. And for 25 years, ECLC congregants have been present at the airport to welcome the kids as they arrive, and to see them safely on their flights home at the end of the sessions. In 1993, ECLC provided two volunteers, Kia and Jennifer, who had just graduated from high school.
This ministry of welcome and caring has been immensely reassuring to parents and campers traveling from across the country, and around the world to participate in a week of making friends, discovering unknown abilities and redefining who they are and who they can be. The experience is truly life-changing, and ECLC folk have played an essential role in making this possible.
The list of volunteers is now very, very long, and I thank you, each one.
