HELP TO LEAD WORSHIP. Assisting Ministers provide an important role in worship by helping to lead prayers, being available to help set the communion table and receive the offering, and provide support to the clergy. There will be an orientation for people interested in being Assisting Ministers on Tuesday, August 7 at 5:30. Please let Pastor Jeff know if you would like to attend.

MENTAL HEALTH EXHIBIT AT SCIENCE MUSEUM:  Learn about mental illness, reduce stigma, and engage in important conversation by joining ECLC at the MN Science Museum on Thursday, August 9 at 10am to experience the “Mental Health: Mind Matters” exhibit.  ECLC’s Mission Team is subsidizing the tickets; cost to you is $10. Stay after the exhibit for an optional lunch in the Science Museum cafeteria. Sign up at the Sign Up Center.  All ages welcome!

ECLC GROUP SERVICE PROJECT  ECLC will be participating in our first group service project at VEAP on Friday August 17 from 2:15 - 5:15 PM.  We are looking for additional volunteers age 12+ to assist with this sort & stock project in VEAP's warehouse, located at 9600 Aldrich Ave S in Bloomington.  If you are available or interested to learn more, please contact Michelle C.

CAMPFIRE & CONGREGATIONAL PICNIC AUGUST 19  Save the date for our third Campfire & Congregational Picnic at Hyland Park, Sumac Knoll Group Campsite in Bloomington. From 4-8 pm on August 19th, we’ll share in outdoor games, food & fellowship, and stories & songs around the campfire.

CELEBRATE LAUREN’S MINISTRY! Lauren Morse Wendt has been on our staff for a decade this August. As our Mission and Ministry Developer she has raised up our gifts for service to our own congregation and to the many mission partners who represent our values and commitments in our community and around the world. On August 26 we will give thanks for her and to her with a party following worship. Save the date!

RETIRED ECLC MEN  Join us for breakfast on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 8:00 am at Perkins Restaurant at Eden and Willson Roads in Edina (near 50th and Hwy 100). This month's gathering will be next Wednesday, July 25.
