WEDNESDAY LENTEN WORSHIP WITH ST PAUL'S TONIGHT: On March 16, ECLCers are invited and encouraged to join our friends at St. Paul's Lutheran (2742 15th Ave S., Mpls) for a soup supper at 6pm and bilingual worship service at 7pm. Many ECLCers are already committed for what promises to be a transformative evening of partnership for us all. No need to RSVP, just show up. Note: For those unable to drive to St. Paul's, Lenten supper and worship will also occur at ECLC.
EVERY TOWN FOR GUN SAFETY HOUSE PARTY: Come learn more from Every Town for Gun Safety about the movement to end gun violence and create safer communities in Minnesota. Hosted by ECLCer Carol Bros in her home on Thursday, April 14th from 7-pm, at this house party you’ll learn about statistics and hear how people are speaking up at the State Capitol during this and next year’s legislative sessions from an expert. Email Lauren to RSVP.
“LEARNING TO WALK IN THE DARK” BOOK CONVERSATION: Gather in a small group to Read, Listen and Reflect on “Learning to Walk in the Dark” by Barbara Brown Taylor on Thursdays, April 7, 14, and 21 from 7:00-8:30pm. Led by ECLCer and spiritual director, Ammie Gronert, we’ll ponder the power of the darkness in our lives, and seek to see the goodness in them. This book invites many perspectives about "Darkness" and an opportunity to reflect on actions or incidents that help give meaning or deepen meaning to what goes on in our lives. We see a whole lot, even in the dark. The group will be a combination of content in the book and sharing. Email Lauren to RSVP.
ART WITH ST PAUL’S…FOR ECLC’S NEW BUILDING! Want to try out mosaic? Want to leave a lasting legacy on ECLC’s new building? ECLC is seeking a leadership team to work from April through October with the mosaic masters from our sister congregation, St. Paul’s Lutheran, in creating a mosaic for our building. All ECLCers will have a chance to work on the mosaic together… but the leadership team will meet monthly and see the process through. No art experience needed, just passion for beauty and sharing it with ECLC and St. Paul’s! Email Lauren to volunteer.
