LENTEN MIDWEEK WORSHIP Each Wednesday through March 25: 6pm Soup Supper, 7pm Taizé singing and 7:15pm Holden Evening Prayer.

FROM THE MISSION & IMMIGRATION TASK FORCE: A few weeks ago the Mission & Immigration Task Force recommended the PBS series Homeland: Immigration in America. If you are interested in viewing other online documentaries, check out this series from Independent Lens. These four stories will share different perspectives of immigration.

ADULT FORUM THIS SUNDAY. In closing out this study of Christology, we will use the Lord’s Prayer for each of us to develop our personal Christology, our personal understanding of who Jesus Christ is in our lives—body and soul.

THE SHORT STORY GROUP The Short Story Group will meet on Friday, March 20 at 10am at Nancy Strom’s home. We will discuss “Souvenir” by Jayne Ann Phillips. All are welcome. Please let Nancy know if you plan to attend.

SUPPORT 66 WEST WHILE ENJOYING JAZZ! Join MN Freedom Jazz, an LGBT 16 piece big band ensemble, for an afternoon of music and dancing for their Spring Swing on Sunday, March 22 from 3-5:30pm at the Minnesota Women’s Club in Mpls.  $3 of every $10 ticket sold at ECLC will support 66 West. Contact ECLCer Larry Tuura to get your tickets!

RETIRED ECLC MEN: Join us for breakfast on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 8:00 am at Perkins Restaurant at Eden and Willson Roads in Edina (near 50th and Hwy 100). This month's gathering will be next Wednesday, March 25.

Holy Week begins with a palm procession and the proclamation of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. Bring family, friends, and neighbors to this year's Palm Sunday Fair (9:45-10:45 am) for every generation:

  • Fair trade Eco Palms through Lutheran World Relief
  • Holy Week Passports and passport stamps
  • 10 interactive prayer stations, with 4 new Holy Week stations
  • Walk ECLC's "sea turtle" labyrinth, with water, sand, and reminders of baptism
  • Engage with self-directed clay, yarn, and paper table art as a spiritual discipline
Contact Kelly Rowley if you're willing to help. Thank you!

60ish +? SAVE THE DATE! Get ready for a generational party! ECLCers 60+ should mark their calendars for a party on Sunday, April 19th from 5-8pm in the party room at Ken & Mari Dragseth’s condo. Look for details soon!

ECLC ANNUAL PROGRESSIVE DINNER: Save the Date for our Annual Progressive Dinner on Saturday, May 9 from 5:00-9:00 pm. The potluck dinner is a spring tradition at ECLC where the diners “progress” from one place to another during the course of the evening, beginning and ending at the church. This is a great opportunity to get to know other members of the congregation from ALL the age groups! Childcare will be available. Watch this space for more information after Easter.

EASTER FLOWER SPONSORSHIPS:  Help decorate the ECLC Sanctuary for our Easter worship services by sponsoring flowers around the altar. The cost for each potted plant is $15.  Sponsorships can be made to honor a special occasion or remember a loved one. Please note “Easter flowers” on the memo line of your check or pay online at  You may take the flowers home to enjoy after Easter.
