GREETERS NEEDED! In order to be fully hospitable in our new space, we will begin having greeters on our lower level, in addition to the current upper level. To make this happen, we need 20 additional greeters! Greeters serve for the 20 minutes before worship on the date/time of their choice once every three months. Please email Lauren to sign up to join the rotation.
FILMING AT ECLC ON SUNDAY: Our ministry partners at ReconcilingWorks, which lifts up full inclusion of LBGTQ persons in the Lutheran Church, will film during both worship services at ECLC on Sunday. Their footage will be used in public videos to encourage congregations to become RIC, as ECLC has been since 1985. Please come fill the sanctuary! If you prefer not to be filmed, please note a section of the sanctuary will be designated as a “no film” area. If you have questions, contact Lauren.
NEW TO ECLC? Come to ECLC 101 on Sundays, April 23rd & 30th, from 9:45-10:45 to learn more about ECLC and the Lutheran Church, meet staff and congregational leaders, and consider officially becoming members of ECLC. Email Lauren with questions.
SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR 66 WEST RESIDENTS! In just one month, residents will move into 66 West! ECLC is furnishing 15 of the apartments with specific supplies. Stop by the table during soup suppers or after worship to sign up to purchase specific needed items (at this time, new items only). Thanks!
INTERSECTIONAL BOOK/FILM CIRCLE: Wednesday, April 19 from 6:30 - 8pm at ECLC. Read “The New Jim Crow” by Michelle Alexander and/or watch the film “13th” by Ava DuVernay (Netflix) and join the conversation. E-mail rsvp or questions to Mary B. or LynMarie B.
LENTEN OFFERING: This Lent, we support St. Paul’s and Redeemer as our Lenten offering recipients, in recognition of our Solidarity theme and the ways in which we walk with both of our sister congregations. To support the Lenten offering, place a check in the offering plate made out to ECLC with “Lenten Offering” in the memo line, donate at a Wednesday night soup supper, or donate online at www.eclc.org.
