SUNDAY FORUM- FEBRUARY 10: THEOLOGY IN POP CULTURE
NBC’s hit comedy The Good Place explores the afterlife: who goes to heaven and why. Whether you’re a weekly fan or have never heard of this show, everyone (adults and teens alike!) will enjoy this chance to watch and discuss this theology in pop culture. Join the conversation in the Fellowship Hall this Sunday at 9:45 am.
FIRST GRADE FAITH MILESTONE: I SPY KIDS IN WORSHIP
Next Sunday, February 10th, ECLC first grade children and their families gather around the font and table, building the church with Legos, and playing a special game of “I Spy.” Together we’ll explore the meaning of worship, with the sights, sounds, rhythms, tastes, textures, and colors of worship!
EVENING EVENT ON FEBRUARY 21:
Bring the family for a movie party to watch "Babette’s Feast”: the story of two devout Scandinavian sisters who take in a French refugee as a maid. It is a parable of divine grace and an illustration of the way that art can transform the way we see the world. The movie starts at 6:30 p.m. at ECLC, with discussion to follow. Want to join? Email Peter H. or sign up at the sign-up center.
WOMEN’S SHORT STORY GROUP The Short story group will gather on Friday, February 15 at 10:00 am at the home of Nancy S. to discuss “An Intermediate Stop” by Gail Godwin from "Listening for God", Vol. II. Please RSVP to Nancy. All are welcome!
