BEACON ANNOUNCES NEW HOUSING: Affordable housing for families is Beacon’s next project in the western suburbs. Come to the campaign launch on Thursday, April 25th at 7pm at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in Hopkins to hear details, get the new site’s address, and learn how ECLC can help build housing for families.

BECAUSE WE REMEMBER: A MORNING FOR THOSE WHOSE STORIES INCLUDE PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS If you have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, or love someone who has, join us on Saturday, April 27. Childcare will be provided, as will the support of all of us who know and live with this particular kind of grief. We will remember our children, be exposed to resources that can help, and hear each others' stories, often the best balm. 9:30 memorial service, 10:30 reflections from David Engelstad & Catherine Malotky on their book, "Carrying Them With Us: Living through Pregnancy and Infant Loss."
JAZZ, DANCING, AND SUPPORTING HOMELESS YOUTH: Join the Freedom Jazz! in their Spring Swing: An Afternoon of Jazz, Swing and Dancing on Sunday, April 28 from 3-5:30 pm at the Minneapolis Woman’s Club. The Freedom Jazz! is a Twin Cities-based), non-profit LGBTA jazz band conducted by ECLC member Larry Tuura. For a $15 ticket, you can enjoy an afternoon of jazz and a portion from every ticket sold at ECLC will support our work with 66 West! THEOLOGY PUB: On Tuesday, April 30th at 7pm, join our semarian Jonathan Rundman at Cowboy Jacks in Bloomington (2801 Southtown) for conversation about faith and life. Discussion questions and prompts will be provided. It’ll be relaxing and fun, you might get to meet someone new, and you can enjoy an adult beverage, or a non-alcoholic drink, and/or dinner/snacks. VOLUNTEER WITH FAMILIES MOVING FORWARD: Help host families experiencing homelessness on Thursday, May 2nd at our neighboring congregation, Woodlake Lutheran (Richfield). Volunteers are needed to prepare the meal (5-7pm), serve & clean up the meal (6-8pm) or play with the kids (7-9pm). Email ECLCer Sarah I. to volunteer. Can’t be there but want to help?
