When I look at your heavens, the works of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what are people that you are mindful of us? Psalm 8:3-4
Long before God laid down the earth’s foundations, God had us in mind. Ephesians 1:3
Participate in the Christmas Story as told by children, youth, stars, moons, and planets of a cosmic proportion!
Without Jesus in the flesh it would have been impossible for us to know who God is or what God is like. God, Creator of the immense cosmos and infinitesimal particles of the universe, came to us in fully recognizable human form, a baby in the manger. The Christmas Story, even with all its pageantry, is the story of a really big God showing up for us in the small, ordinary, and messy.
At ECLC we take the gift of play, and the leadership potential of children seriously. All ages learn what worship is by worshiping. Advent and Christmas are a wonderful time to give kids extra opportunities to lead. Beginning with the Advent Festival several weeks ago, ECLC Kids Youth & Families, with the support of dedicated teachers and other faithful volunteers, have been preparing for the coming of the Christ Child, with spoken words, heavenly music, cosmic art, Word and Sacrament.
Please join us this coming Sunday, Dec 20 at 11 am, as children and youth lead the congregation in worship. Invite family, friends & neighbors, too!
