Take Up Reconciliation, Take Up Justice, Take Up Peace...And Let Us Do This Together

Today marks the beginning of our 40 day journey of Lent together.  While Lent can be a time of inward reflection, it is also a time to live in the way that reflection with God calls us to live.  In a world that does not slow down just because the Church Calendar tells it to, we know we cannot do it alone.  Thankfully, at ECLC, you do not have to.  ECLC encourages you to join in our Lenten gatherings as we reflect, explore faith, and seek to live for reconciliation, justice, and peace.

Lenten Opportunities:
Ash Wednesday Service this evening at 7pm.  This worship service will include Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.
Lenten Midweek Worship Services: February 25 through March 25: 7pm Taizé singing and 7:15pm Holden Evening Prayer.
Soup Suppers: Wednesdays in Lent from 6-7pm beginning February 25th.  Volunteers to bring in soup, bread, milk, and treats are needed each week. Email Lauren at lmorsewendt@eclc.org to sign up to bring something.
Sunday Worship: Worship as always at 8:15 and 11:00, with Lenten themes that set a tone of both reflection and action to inspire our faith lives through the week.

At ECLC, we believe in the importance, indeed the necessity, of community. Come, be in relationship with God and with each other this Lent, beginning with tonight's Ash Wednesday service.
