Partnering with VEAP for Kids!

ECLC’s long time mission partner, VEAP, makes a commitment to “Meet Basic Needs. Build Stronger Community.”  Our participation in their annual school supply drive means much more than scissors, glue, and folders for 3,300 children…it means 3,330 children in Edina, Richfield, and Bloomington will have the excitement of choosing a backpack this year.  It means they won’t feel embarrassed or unprepared on the first day of school.  It means they’ll feel like every other student with a full backpack waiting to meet their teacher and start the school year off ready to succeed.

This week, take advantage of school supply sales and purchase most needed items on VEAP’s list and drop them off at ECLC. Parents, this is a meaningful first volunteer opportunity for kids to pick out supplies for fellow students:

  • Backpacks, especially for older students
  • College-lined notebooks
  • Folders
  •  Pencils
  • Pens

Or, visit ECLC’s table after worship on Sunday where ECLC high school student Soren K, coordinator of this year’s drive, will collect $$ donations to purchase school supplies en masse and deliver them to VEAP for you.  Thank you for caring for ALL God’s children!
