ECLC Winter Retreat at Bay Lake Camp

Who? All of the congregation is invited! ECLC Confirmation youth and at least one parent are asked to attend, and whole families are encouraged and welcomed.

What? A 29-hour retreat on loving who God created you to be, Baptism, the Enneagram for adults, and a gift inventory for youth. Includes a comfortable hotel style room with individual bath and shower facilities, four delicious meals, and resources for the weekend.

When? Friday, February 10, 7 p.m.-Sunday, February 12, 12 p.m.

Loving Who God Created You To Be: The goals of this retreat:

  • Retreat. Take time to rest. Put down the smart phone, turn off the computer. Breathe deeply. Be.
  • Recover the truest thing about yourself—you are a child of God. Our aim during this time is to get beneath all the ways we feel pulled by other identities, vocations, and habits that distract us from this truth about ourselves.
  • Learn more about who you are through the enneagram (adults), or a gift inventory (youth).

Guest Presenter: Kate Ostrem—coach and educator, will share the wisdom of the Enneagram—a tool of self-discovery—in a practical and down to earth way. When she’s not sharing her passion for the Enneagram, she spends time with her family, reads somewhat obsessively, can be competitive about completing puzzles (sorry, kids), and practices yoga.

Where? Bay Lake Camp—a place where all are welcome; a unique island wilderness which emphasizes care of the earth, building relationships, and meaningful work. Just 2 hours north, near Lake Milacs on Bay Lake. Bay Lake 16257 Brighton Point Road, Deerwood, MN 56444

Cost*? Adults: $150/person; Teens: $100/person; Youth 12 & Under: $75/person; Kids 5 & Under: $25/person; Family Maximum: $450 *Scholarships Available
