Easter Vigil

We, your children in your likeness, share inventive powers with you; great Creator, still creating, show us what we yet may do.
—Catherine Cameron, “God who stretched the spangled heavens,” ELW 77

Every few years, depending on the calendar and school breaks, we have the opportunity to do something very special during the Great Vigil of Easter! Please bring family, friends, and neighbors, the evening of Saturday, April 15th as we celebrate this most holy night together!

We begin outdoors with the “new fire” and process indoors to the place of the singing of the ancient and great Easter Proclamation. In the service of reading kids & youth, with the help of volunteers, will share the great stories of faith that shape our baptismal life. After briefly visiting each of the 8 prepared classrooms everyone will proceed upstairs to the worship space where we will gather around the baptismal font in the center of the sanctuary.
