Justice Choir Community Sing

Please come and please invite friends, family, neighbors and acquaintances to join you. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to racial justice. Our commitment to becoming beloved community extends beyond our walls, and singing together helps us both reach out, and also reach down into our own souls for encouragement, solace and strength for the struggle. As Dr. King said,  “Much of the power of our Freedom Movement in the United States has come from  music. It has strengthened us with its sweet rhythms when courage began to fail. It has calmed us with its rich harmonies when spirits were down”

Join ECLC members and friends on Sunday, June 3, at ECLC, for food, fellowship, singing, and conversation about racial and environmental justice. Optional potluck from 12:15-1pm, Justice choir 1-2pm.  Tesfa Wondemagegnehu, head of the Twin Cities Justice Choir chapter, will lead us in singing, and Pastor Dwane Davis from All God's Children church will share stories of struggle and perseverance. This will be a time of reflection and healing, and a celebration of all that binds us together. All are welcome!
