Holy Week

Holy Week at ECLC is filled with rich worship opportunities. We hope you will join us for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!

Maundy Thursday—5:45 (especially child-friendly) & 7:15 p.m.

Remembering Jesus’ last meal with his disciples, we share the meal of holy communion and have the opportunity to participate in a foot or hand washing. We invite you to bring prayer concerns, as there will be an opportunity to name out loud a person, place, or other concern in your life. The 5:45 service will engage all of our senses, inviting children to sit and touch baptismal quilts, look into mirrors, wash hands and feet, and interact with God’s story in new ways.

Good Friday—5:45 (especially child-friendly) & 7:15 p.m.

Gathered around the cross, we offer our laments for the places where Christ still suffers today. There will be an opportunity to name out loud, if you wish, the particular sorrows you are carrying this week. The 5:45 service will travel throughout the sanctuary, allowing children to engage with God’s story in our lives through movement and action as we pray.

Easter Vigil—6:00 p.m.

As we wait between Friday and Sunday, we tell stories, sing songs, and remember our baptism. The service will start outside by the west entrance before the children and youth creatively share Bible stories in their Sunday School rooms. We conclude the service upstairs in the sanctuary with a celebration of baptism and communion.

Easter Sunday—8:00, 9:30, & 11:00 a.m.

Christ is risen! Hallelujah! Join the celebration of new life.
