This summer we will explore the theme of Story, culminating in the four Sundays of August when members or friends of ECLC will tell some of their story of faith in worship. In addition to the sermons, these brief talks about story will help us know one another and what is important in our lives.
We will be encouraging you and equipping you throughout the summer to tell your story of faith to others and invite friends, neighbors, colleagues, or even strangers to join you in worship – especially on the four Sundays of August. We always are ready for visitors, but we will offer an exceptional welcome in August for those whom you invite.
Some other ways we will explore this theme of story are:
Worship As One: Pentecost Worship together, Sun, June 5 at 9:30am
Summer Kick-off Happy Hour: Wooden Hill Brewery, Wed, June 5 from 5-7pm
Story, Song & Snack, 9:45-10:15am, June 16-August 25
ECLC Neighborhood Night Out: In YOUR Neighborhood, Wed, June 19 from 6-8pm
Story Sharing Brunch: 11:30am, after worship on Sun, July 21
At the heart of our faith is the unfolding story of God’s love for creation. From the dawn of time, in the life of Jesus, to the present moment, and far into the eternal mystery this story tells of a sacred presence that lives around and through us. This story envelopes the story of our own lives: our joys, miseries, loves, losses, inspiration and despair. Our story is wrapped in God’s story. Let the summer hold sacred time for us to reflect on our faith and how God is telling of love in our lives
