FIRST GRADE FAITH MILESTONE: I SPY KIDS IN WORSHIP  This Sunday, invite family,  & friends and join us at 9:45 am to welcome the pastor of our sister congregation, Cristo de Paz, with special music and the beautiful rainbow stole hand-made by ECLC youth & families! After welcoming Pastor Conchi, first grade families, teachers, and guests will gather in the sanctuary and play a special game of “I Spy.” for their milestone event at 10 am. During the 11 am worship service first graders will be given a blessing and gift.


MEN’S CHORUS REHEARSAL - Next Wednesday, November 18 at 7pm at ECLC.  All men are welcome to join us!

SUNDAY FORUM WITH REV. MARK HANSON Celebrating 30 years of being a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we welcome former presiding bishop and pastor of ECLC, Mark Hanson, as our guest speaker on November 22. Please join us as we reflect on the significance of this particular decision and the importance of the Church making courageous choices.

LIKE ART PROJECTS? ECLC is painting stones for our milestone program…specifically for the children joining ECLC this fall!  If you enjoy a simple art project and can help us out for an hour or two (art in your home on your schedule), please contact Lauren.

BLOOMINGTON SYMPHONY CONCERT    Sunday, November 22 at 3 pm take a journey through the music of Rossini, Schuller, and Beethoven in a performance at the Schneider Theatre at the Bloomington Center for the Arts. Tickets are $14 for adults; $12 for seniors 62+, and free for students. Pastor Stephanie plays violin with this orchestra.

THANKSGIVING EVE: POETRY, PRAISE, & PIE Join us on Wednesday, November 25, 7pm for Poetry, Praise, & Pie. Featuring world-renowned poets, as well as local ECLC talent, we will worship our Creator with words of grace & music that transcends, and celebrate with pie afterward.

PIE HELPER NEEDED!  After our Thanksgiving Eve worship on Wednesday, November 25th, we will enjoy pie together! A helper is needed to set out plates and napkins and wash them in the dishwasher afterward. If you can help make our social time together special, please email Lauren.

THE RACIAL JUSTICE ADVOCACY COMMITTEE will meet Tuesday, December 1st, 6:00 pm at ECLC. New members are welcome to join the committee!

JOIN THE FAMILY WELLNESS FAIR IN EL SALVADOR NEXT FEBRUARY! You do not need to be a medical person nor speak Spanish. This Fair (formerly the Mission of Healing) will be February 13-20, 2016. ECLC folks, including Camilla Madson, Steve Obaid, Amy Spomer, and Sally Yelkin will join people from the Milwaukee Synod to provide basic medical exams and education to communities in the South-Central Micro-Region which includes our partner congregation, Cristo de Paz. The team is in need of dental workers, musicians, counselors, and pharmacists. If you have one of these skills or you don't, but are interested in joining, contact Camilla Madson soon for more information.

HELP IN THE FOOD SHELF: Pack groceries for homebound clients of Community Emergency Service food shelf on Thurs., Nov. 19 from 9:00-10:30am. Email Lauren to sign up.

LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICE LUNCH: Join Lutheran Social Service for its fall luncheon on Thursday, November 19 from 11:30-1:00 pm at Luther Seminary in St. Paul’s. Richard Andersen, friend of ECLC and outgoing Director of Development for LSS, will be the guest speaker on LSS’s many ministries. Tickets are $12 and RSVPs can be sent to ECLCer Larry Edlund.

SHORT STORY GROUP The Short Story Group will meet at the home of Nancy Strom on Friday, November 20 at 10:00 am.  We will discuss three very short stories beginning with “Hairs” by Sandra Cisneros. All are welcome.
