ALL SAINTS DAY: Sunday, November 1 we will light candles in memory of the beloveds who have gone before us. All Saints Day is dedicated to thanksgiving for all the unnamed who died in the Lord and the belief that all the Christian dead are saints. The close proximity of the baptismal font and the columbarium at ECLC signifies our trust in the promise made in baptism that we are children of God in life, in death and in the resurrection. If you would like a loved one to be remembered in our prayers on All Saints Sunday, please write their names (and their relationship to you) in the black spiral books placed outside the sanctuary. You may also contactthe church office to have names added to the books.
ADULT FORUMS- 10/25, 11/1, 11/8: As we are breaking ground for our new addition, we will dedicate Reformation Sunday and the following Sundays to remembering the incredible groundbreaking of the “Early Church” according to Acts. Professor Matt Skinner from Luther Seminary and Joel Benbow, ECLC member and retired pastor, will bring two perspectives from that period. Then on 11/8, Pastor Stephanie will lead us in Lectio Divina from related Scripture.
ENDING HOMELESSNESS TOGETHER: Not only is ECLC building 66 West, but we also address homelessness state wide through our work within the Beacon Collaborative. Come to be inspired, learn about homelessness statewide, and support Beacon through their annual luncheon, Tuesday, November 17th from Noon-1pm at the Mpls Convention Center. Sue Crabtree is the co-chair of the event, Erik Scheurle is speaking, and dozens of ECLCers are already attending; join an ECLC table! Email Lauren to RSVP.
ARE YOU A BOY SCOUT SELLING WREATHS? All boy scouts are invited to bring their wreath sponsor program to church this Sunday.
