Outreach AT ECLC

Mission and Outreach are at the core of ministry at ECLC, and our calling to live out God’s YES for the world is reflected in everything from worship to faith formation to service opportunities. We believe outreach is a faith value for all ages and strive to engage even the youngest of children in service opportunities.

ECLC has a long history of committing to radical acts for justice including providing meals for 100 days during the Wounded Knee trials of the 1970s, building affordable senior housing in the 1980s, successfully challenging Minnesota’s conceal carry gun law in 2003, and organizing against the proposed Minnesota constitutional amendment banning marriage between same-sex couples in 2012. Currently, we are working to build the first apartments for homeless youth and young adults (typically 18-22) in the southwest suburbs at 66 West Apartments.

fostering transformational relationships

ECLC is committed to fostering transformational relationships that reflect who God is in the world. Through over 20 ministry partners, we seek to serve at, advocate for, learn about, give to, and pray with each of these partners. These organizations focus on hunger, housing, justice, and youth and family ministries and include:
